Stop printing parts that shatter. Siraya Tech Impact Resistant Filaments are formulated for engineers and makers who need functional components, not just display models.

Whether you are printing high-speed drone frames, automotive mounts, or industrial tooling, our Fibreheart™ and Peopoly lines deliver the energy absorption needed to survive drops, crashes, and continuous stress.

  • Industrial Strength: Up to 13.1 kJ/m² Charpy Impact Strength (PPA-CF Core).

  • Universal Compatibility: Optimized for Bambu Lab, Voron, Creality, and Prusa.

  • Fast Shipping: Orders ship within 24 hours from US/EU warehouses.

  • Satisfaction Guaranteed: 30-Day return policy on all filament spools.

Why Choose Impact-Resistant Filament?

Standard PLA is brittle; when it fails, it snaps. Impact-resistant materials, like our Glass Fiber (GF) and Carbon Fiber (CF) reinforced composites, are designed to absorb energy before failure.

Fibreheart™ ABS-GF:

The industrial workhorse. With a Heat Deflection Temperature (HDT) of 93°C, it combines high heat resistance with glass-fiber toughness. Ideal for parts near engines or electronics.

PPA-CF Core:

The ultimate durable material. Our revolutionary "Core-Shell" technology keeps the carbon fiber in the center, leaving a resin-rich outer shell for superior layer adhesion. This solves the #1 weakness of fiber filaments: layer separation during impact.

PETG-CF:

The easiest to print. Get the chemical resistance of PETG with added stiffness for rigid, durable housings.

Applications & Material Pairing

Choosing the right material depends on your specific impact scenario:

1. High-Speed Impacts (Drones & RC)

For drone arms and bumpers that must withstand crashes, Fibreheart™ ABS-GF provides the rigidity for stable flight and the toughness to resist shattering.

If your part requires significant shock absorption—where the material needs to bend rather than break, consider our Flex TPU Filament for 3D Printing collection, which offers extreme elongation for bumpers and tires.

2. High-Heat Industrial Tooling

Impact resistance often needs to pair with thermal stability. For jigs and fixtures used in hot manufacturing environments, our Heat Resistant Filament options, such as PPA-CF, maintain their mechanical properties even when temperatures rise above 100°C.

3. Production Manufacturing

Time is money. Our reinforced filaments are compatible with our High Flow Filament technology, allowing you to print stronger parts faster without clogging.

This is critical for print farms producing hundreds of impact-resistant clips or brackets daily.

4. Under-the-Hood Automotive

Components in an engine bay are exposed to vibration, heat, and chemical contaminants. For these "severe service" environments, you need a material that qualifies as a true [High Temp 3D Printer Filament], like our Fibreheart™ PPA-CF, which resists oil, gas, and heat while maintaining structural integrity.

FAQ About Impact-Resistant Filament

What is the most impact-resistant filament Siraya Tech offers?

For rigid parts, Fibreheart™ PPA-CF Core offers the highest impact strength at 13.1 kJ/m² (Charpy ISO 179), making it significantly tougher than standard ABS or PLA. For flexible parts that must survive crushing forces, TPU is the superior choice.

Is PETG more impact-resistant than PLA?

Yes. PETG (Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol) has a higher ductility than PLA, meaning it will bend before it breaks. Standard PLA is stiff but brittle and tends to shatter upon impact. Our PETG-CF enhances this natural toughness with carbon fiber for added rigidity.

Do I need a hardened steel nozzle to print these filaments?

Yes. Filaments reinforced with Carbon Fiber (CF) or Glass Fiber (GF) are abrasive and will wear out a standard brass nozzle quickly. We recommend using a hardened steel or ruby-tipped nozzle (0.4mm or 0.6mm) for consistent extrusion.

How does "Core-Shell" technology improve impact resistance?

Standard fiber filaments often suffer from poor layer adhesion because fibers on the surface prevent the plastic from melting together. Siraya Tech's PPA-CF Core concentrates the fibers in the center of the filament, leaving a pure resin outer shell. This ensures stronger Z-axis bonding, preventing the part from delaminating during an impact.

Can I print ABS-GF on an open printer?

While our Fibreheart™ ABS-GF is formulated for lower warping than standard ABS, we still recommend an enclosure to prevent drafts. Stable ambient temperatures ensure the internal stresses are minimized, which maximizes the final impact strength of the part.
