The Kobra 3 was designed for multi-color PLA work. Our PLA loads cleanly into the ACE Pro, swaps between spools without stringing, and produces sharp details across all four feed lines.
PETG for Functional Multi-Color Builds
PETG runs through the ACE Pro for tougher multi-color parts that need to survive outdoor use or carry load. Our PETG keeps clean layer adhesion even when the printer is pushing 300 mm/s.
Flex TPU for Single-Color Flexible Prints
TPU works on the Kobra 3 in single-color mode only, since soft filaments compress inside the ACE Pro feed path. Our Flex TPU Air 65A-82A foaming filament adjusts hardness by temperature, opening up lightweight wearables and insoles. The PEBA Air variant goes further with 50% weight reduction.

No. Soft filaments compress and tangle inside the ACE Pro feed path. TPU prints on the Kobra 3, but only in single-color mode through the standard feed.
What is the max nozzle temperature on the Kobra 3?
The Kobra 3 hotend reaches 300Β°C, which handles PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, and PETG-CF reliably. Materials that need higher temperatures, like pure PC or PA-CF, are outside its range.
How fast can the Kobra 3 print?
Anycubic recommends 300 mm/s with a maximum acceleration of 20,000 mm/sΒ². Real-world speeds depend on the filament. High-flow PETG-CF and PLA handle the upper range better than thicker materials.
Do I need an enclosure for the Kobra 3?
No. The Kobra 3 is an open-frame printer. It is not designed for engineering filaments like ABS, ASA, or nylon that benefit from a heated enclosure. Stick to materials that print well in open conditions.
