Siraya Tech Platinum Silicone - Defiant 10 User Manual
1. Key Features
-
Hardness: Shore 10A, offering an ideal balance of strength and flexibility.
-
Exceptional Resistance: Specifically engineered to resist silicone poisoning from 3D UV resins.
-
Safety: FDA Food Safe certified.
-
Durability: Outstanding tear and heat resistance.
-
Efficiency: Minimal post-processing is required for a successful mold cure.
Β
2. Resin Selection & Post-Processing (Crucial)
Compatible resins: Siraya Tech Fast, Build, Blu, Easy, or Sculpt resins, as they require no additional coating.Β
Required Post-Processing Steps:
-
Clean: Wash your print with 90%+ IPA or Ethanol. Use an ultrasonic bath for 5 minutes or a brush to ensure all uncured resin is removed.
-
Dry: Use a hairdryer to dry the print completely.
-
Water-Submerged Curing: Fully submerge the print in a clean bucket of water.
-
Standard Models: Cure for 30 minutes under a UV light fixture while submerged.
-
Complex Models: For deep recesses, replace the water and cure for an additional 30 minutes.
-
Note: Do not use sunlight for this step.
-
-
Final Dry: Bake the print in a low-heat oven at 45Β°C for 10 minutes.
3. Step-by-Step Instructions
Defiant 10 uses a 1:1 mixing ratio by weight.
-
Preparation: Use clean glass containers to avoid curing inhibition.
-
Pre-mix: Stir Part A and Part B individually in their original bottles before use.
-
Measure: Use a scale and the tare function to pour equal weights of Part A and Part B.
-
Mix: Stir thoroughly, making sure to scrape the walls and bottom of the container.
-
Degas (Recommended): Although it releases bubbles quickly, vacuum degassing is recommended for best results, especially below 20Β°C.
-
Pour: The silicone is now ready for mold making.

5. Troubleshooting
Silicone remains tacky or liquid near the print surface: This is a classic sign of silicone poisoning. Ensure you followed the water-submerged curing step precisely for 30β60 minutes.
Localized uncured spots: Often caused by residual resin in deep recesses. For complex models, increase the water-curing time and ensure all IPA has evaporated before pouring silicone.
Silicone cures too slowly: Please check your ambient temperature; Defiant 10 requires an indoor environment above 20Β°C for optimal curing speed.
Incomplete cure throughout the mold: Ensure Part A and Part B were mixed at a strict 1:1 weight ratio and stirred thoroughly, scraping the sides and bottom.
Bubbles in the final mold: While the formula releases bubbles quickly, you may need to degas using a vacuum chamber if working in temperatures below 20Β°C.
3rd party resins compatibility is not guaranteed: We cannot guarantee results with non-Siraya Tech resins. If poisoning occurs with other brands, try applying a specialized primer coating or switch to Siraya Tech Fast, Build, Blu, Easy, or Sculpt.
